1. Mike Says
Phew it’s been a busy old week here at SBC towers as we have been beavering away compiling our latest service newsletter. We have endeavoured to produce an extra special issue, because this week marks our 3rd year anniversary as a service, so therefore we put together one of our biggest publications to date to celebrate.
One of the specialist articles included this month comes from our expert sports trader, who shares his wisdom on successful cricket trading. Little did I know that he was the guy responsible for the ‘Its raining in Reading’ quotes that the Sky cricket commentary team would refer to when teams played at Lords. You see our expert was the first to note that if indeed it was raining in Reading, it wouldn’t be long before it also did so at the home of cricket, making for an excellent advantage when it comes to trading. As soon as the rain comes, the draw price will inevitably shorten! It really is fascinating to get inside the mind of a test match cricket trader and the insight into exactly what gave him an edge. With a follow-up article planned for next month on trading both 20-20 and ODI cricket, this series is a must-read for any wannabe cricket traders.
Another sport where shrewd bettors can make an edge is golf, which is the focus of an article this month by a successful pro gambler. He shares his methods to help narrow down the large field for most golf tournaments by 90%, to leave you with the 10% best value chances. Some very shrewd analysis that has seemingly worked well in the past and again his article is a must-read for any golf punters.
I will also have my eyes fixed firmly on the Scottish League 2 and League 3 this week and the games featuring Ayr Utd, Dumbarton & East Stirling. Each of these matches may only attract a few hundred supporters but I have a tasty ante post each way double at 40/1 on Ayr & Dumbarton to win their respective leagues, courtesy of a Scottish football tipster that we monitor. With an each way saver on East Stirling at 25/1, the permutations for a large return are there but I need results to go my way! Needless to say I will be glued to Jeff Stelling and Soccer Saturday to get all the latest scores from North of the border.

2. The Next Week In Betting
Crunch time in the Championship, League 1 & 2 this weekend, with a number of key games, which may well put the Premier league in the shade in terms of excitement. It’s between Birmingham, Reading & Sheffield Utd for the last automatic promotion spot to the Premier league, with the first 2 meeting down at the Madejski in a huge game. Birmingham at 12/5 with expect.com could well offer value as Reading have to really go for it and their home form has been very patchy of late indeed. Conspiracy theorists will have a field day if Neil Warnock’s Crystal Palace roll over to gift 3 points to his much loved Sheff Utd, and as poor as the Eagles have been lately, the 11/17 with expext on the away team to win looks very short indeed.
Over recent weeks as well I have put forward my away team formula for success in the Championship which has shown real merit this season. Could we see wins for Bristol City (13/2 Coral), Doncaster (11/2) and Derby? (13/5 Bet365) as they are all away from home this weekend and at big prices.
Premier League wise, I cant recall the last time Newcastle would have been as big as 14/1 (Boylesports) away to Liverpool, but that just goes to show how poor they have been this season. I highlighted them a few weeks back at 15/8 to go down and I want to add in Hull to join them at 13/8 with Skybet. Both of these teams are in freefall and one, if not both could go. Its worth noting that West Brom are very short at just 1.03 to go down, despite in recent seasons both Fulham and West Ham being in a similar position at this time of the season yet staying up. The question is do West Brom have enough quality in their side to replicate this? I think not but 3 points this weekend could really set the cat amongst the pigeons. The 3% interest available for backing them to drop is not something I would look to take.
It’s hard to hunt down much value this weekend in the top flight and I did wonder if there was an edge in the Stoke – West Ham game. Goals have been in short supply for these teams lately at both ends and adding Stokes home form to the Hammers away form shows that 23 times out 34 we have seen less than 2.5 goals. With best odds of 1.72 at Betfair that effectively only gives us an 11% edge which maybe worth a small interest.
Test cricket returns next Wednesday with the first test of the latest England – West Indies series. An England victory and the draw are vying for favouritism at 13/10 and 11/8 respectively. Although the tourists will not be suited by the English conditions, they at least have a much more settled side in comparison to the hosts who will field 2 debutant bowlers. I doubt very much whether this is the English team that will start the 1st Ashes test and for me the draw looks the way to go in this game. Looking at some of the overall series markets, Andrew Strauss to be top England batsman at 3/1 with Stan James is of interest as he is bang in form and the very impressive Fidel Edwards to be top Windies bowler at 15/8 with Extrabet also appeals.
Good luck with whatever you’re having a punt on this week.

3. Tipping Legends Column
The Tipping Legends are 2 horse racing specialists who both have an in-depth knowledge of the sport and will be supplying a full rundown of some of the weekend's feature races and betting angles. These guys know their stuff when it comes to racing, ignore at your peril.
This weekend sees the first two flat classics, 2000 guineas on Saturday & 1000 guineas on Sunday
If we look at the recent stats for the 2000 guineas, we can narrow the field down very quickly. In recent years, runners having their first race of the season in this classic have a good record as do those horses that won their last race. Other stats of note seem to indicate that Irish have won 6 of the last 11 running’s (Aiden O'Brien 5 off them) and perhaps most importantly that the first 5 in the betting do very well indeed.
First of all looking at the top 5 in the market this leaves us with a short list of the follow:
Rip Van Winkle (O'Brien trained but did not win last race)
Delegator (already run this season)
Mastercraftsman (O'Brien trained but did not win last race)
Evasive (not run this season and won last race)
Sea the Stars (not run this season and won last race, also trained in Ireland but by Dermot Weld)
After applying all the filters, this brings us down to two for our short list...Evasive & Sea the Stars.
As for the 1000 guineas, I am told by well informed judges that Rainbow View is probably the best 3 yr old filly in Europe and all the vibes are that she should not be opposed! Maybe a race to watch, unless there is an outsider who can spring a surprise. My advice is always to never back short priced fillies as they can be far more temperamental than the male of the species!

4. The Winabobatoo Weekender
Winabobatoo are English Premier League, Football League and Scottish Premier betting experts. Using their own excellent football system to often 'Win a bob or two' for their members, they are sharing one of their 'star' bets every week with us. Star bets are their best rated, best value bets and worth following in with a few bob of your own.
This weekend sees the last round of matches for the Championship, League One, and League Two. I can’t believe another season is nearly over. Over the last two seasons the recommended bets at Winabob have made around 130 points profit. Things are winding down from here on for this season, but we’re already making plans for next season.
Winabob members have 8 bets lined up for the weekend. It helps to spread the risk. It’s better not to put all your eggs in one basket, so to speak, and the good luck and bad luck averages out a little more quickly too. We can’t rely on luck in the long run because everyone gets it in equal doses, but it does makes a difference in the short-term, which is why we cannot be sure of winning every week, or even every month. We have managed 15 winning months from 17 in the last 2 seasons though.
This week we’ll go for Huddersfield to win at Leyton Orient. Orient have been having troubles at home all season, whilst Huddersfield have got the winning habit away from home. They’ve recently won at Scunthorpe, Bristol Rovers, and Walsall. They are well capable of giving Orient something to think about here and the odds justify the risk.
The best price was 7/4 (2.75) yesterday. That has come in to 17/10 (2.70) and is available with Corals.
Have a bet on Huddersfield to beat Leyton Orient at 17/10 (2.70).
Good luck with your betting.
