Weekend Wager Column - 13/03/2009 ************************************ I work as part of the team at the Secret Betting Club where we uncover exactly which experts, systems and tipsters you should follow to make money betting. As well as proofing dozens of tipsters we also include monthly articles on professional gambling tips and betting strategies. Every article and review we put together is also listed at our new member's website Money Maker Review. ******************************************************************************** 1. Terry Says By the time you will be reading this, the big event over at Cheltenham this week will be over for another year and the mass clear-up will begin. I have spoken to many people this week who tell me that it is the only time they ever bet on the horses, although with the massively competitive racing, it aint really the best place for the novice! My own Chelters has gone pretty well with a big collection on day one thanks to the Tipping Legends boys, who picked up a big each way double result (both horses placed at 20/1). Initially the bookie I placed it with – William Hill, even had the nerve to settle it as a loss but one terse phone call later and they realised the errors of their ways. Hills took a major hit on this one with many Secret Betting Club members on this bet with them, and I reckon they saw a loss of over 50k at the very least. Another victory over the bookies for our members. In other news this week, I was surprised to see an email from 5 Star Tipster explaining that he is now back at the helm of 5 Star Tipster. Excuse me if I don't prepare the fattened calf for the return of the prodigal son. The 5 Star Tipster website was sold only a few months ago for £22,150 as Jamie had decided to leave the horse racing tipster game for good. Jamie believes he's cracked it this time, but considering the way his 5 Star Tipster & 125 Bets services went, I won't be holding my breath. Click the links to read more about them via our Money Maker Review website. As ever be sure to check out our opinion on any service before joining, there are lots of good guys out there but you just have to be careful at times. Until next Friday… Terry Allen 2. The Next Week In Betting A full domestic card to get our teeth stuck into this weekend as we enter the last 10 games of the season in the Premier league. After their midweek blitzing of Real Madrid, Liverpool take their extremely unlikely title hopes over to Old Trafford for a game Sky are desperately trying to bill as a title decider. With the best will in the world, Liverpool are as likely to win the title from here as Jan Molby is to win the slimmer of the year competition with weight watchers. I can’t remember the last time Sir Alex’s men were as big as 1.96 with Extrabet to win at home and that looks value to me. Blackburn fresh from seeing off Fulham at midweek will surely go to keep things as tight as possible when they visit Arsenal this weekend and a couple of bets look value to me. Big Sam will have his team ready to kick lumps out of the Arse, and while I can’t have them at 8/1 to win with Hills, the +1 handicap with Ladbrokes at 2.06 appeals as does under 2.5 goals at 1.83 with Extrabet. One market of note that’s worth touching on is Premier league relegation, and I must say I like the look of perennial crisis club Newcastle to go down at 15/8 with Betfred. I am going to join them for the drop with Portsmouth at 3/1 with Bet365 as I think one of these 2 will really struggle to stay up. The Geordies face Hull in a must win game on Saturday before 2 tough games against Arsenal and Chelsea, whilst Pompey are being managed by a guy who was last seen at Rushden & Diamonds. It will be a shame if either team do go down as they have great support but I sense a touch of value here. The oval ball returns with the penultimate round of games in the six-nations where Wales and Ireland should win fairly easily with the former as short as 1/14 to win away at Italy and the latter 4/11 best priced to take the spoils at Murrayfield. The most competitive game will come on Sunday where England host the French and the bookies have the visitors as the narrowest of favourites at 10/11 best priced with Boylesports. With such short odds on some of the games, handicaps are go for 6 nations bets this weekend. The Italians have not been impressive at all this tournament so the -27 handicap at 11/4 with Hills on the Welsh to smash them appeals. More cricket action than you can shake a stick at lately with the one day games between West Indies and England to feast upon next week. Starting off with a 20-20 game on Sunday in a format I prefer to trade on, there is also a 5 match ODI series that I have a slight preference for the away team in. If Cricket was judged on points like a boxing game then England would have taken the test series and they have the makings of a good one-day team. I am having a sneaky piece of the 10/11 with Boylesports on Strauss’s men to edge the series. Good luck with whatever you’re having a punt on this week. ******************************************************************************** 3. Tipping Legends Column Visit The Tipping Legends Website
4. The Winabobatoo Weekender Last weekend I had to give you a “Play Away” system bet because there weren’t any “Away Form System” bets. I’d originally intended to give you an “Away Form System” bet from now until the end of the season. Anyway, Peterborough won for us at 11/8. The “Play Away” system found 2 more winners for us in midweek from 4 bets with Torquay beating Altrincham (13/10) and Bristol Rovers beating Hereford (13/8).
We’ll return to the “Away Form System” for this weekend. We had one winner from two bets midweek from this system, with Southend beating Brighton at 9/5. Usually, I have to choose which one of the games I’m going to give you, and live in fear of ignoring a winner and giving you a loser. This week there is only one such case, so no dilemma arises!
Bournemouth are scrapping for their lives at the bottom of League Two, but that is solely due to the points deduction they had at the start of the season. They would be very safe had that not happened. They are taking on Macclesfield who have been very vulnerable at home all season. All my ratings give the advantage to Bournemouth, so they are the recommended bet.
The bad news is that the original price of 7/4 has now disappeared, which was probably partially due to my members betting on the game yesterday, but 13/8 is still available with BetFred and SkyBet.
Have a bet on Bournemouth to beat Macclesfield at 13/8 (2.63) available with BetFred, and SkyBet Good luck with your betting. Mike Lindley (www.winabobatoo.co.uk ) Visit The Winabobatoo Website ********************************************************************************
Hi everybody,
Another winning bet last weekend, 8th in a row, this is getting ridiculous:
The non-league season is in it's final stage, only a month and a half and play-offs to go. The membership and the waiting list are both closed for the rest of the season, but everyone who got on the waiting list until February 28th will get a chance to join in April and reserve a spot for next season that way. Everyone who ends the season as a Skeeve Picks subscriber will be offered a spot for next season and if someone drops out, I'll contact the first guy on the waiting list for next season. If you want to be on the waiting list for next season, feel free to send me an e-mail.

BLUE SQUARE SOUTH
AD-HOC DRAW-NO-BET: Maidenhead – BASINGSTOKE 2 (5.00 @BoyleSports) 2 units & X (3.75 @Coral) 1 unit
I wrote a lot about Maidenhead lately, about their recent departures (best scorer Pacquette, influential winger Binns, defensive midfielder Hinds and second best scorer Newman have all left the building) and uninspired performances (one win in the last six, but only against poor Fisher – 0:2 to Team Bath, 1:0 vs Fisher, 0:0 at Eastleigh, 1:1 vs Thurrock, 1:2 at Chelmsford, 0:1 to Windsor & Eton). They also have some injury problems (standard defender Saroya is out injured, the only remaining winger Smith played 20 minutes against Windsor after being out for quite some time), they've just lost 0:1 to Windsor & Eton (two leagues below BS South) in the Berks & Bucks Senior Cup and their manager has just admitted that they don't have the quality to reach the play-offs. Basingstoke are out of the relegation zone, they only have two defeats in the last nine matches and although both defeats were embarassing (0:3 at St Albans, 0:5 at Hayes), they had some nice wins too (2:0 vs Bromley, 1:1 vs Hayes, 3:2 at Bognor, 2:1 at Team Bath, 0:0 vs Dorchester, 0:3 at St Albans, 1:0 vs Bath City, 0:5 at Hayes, 0:0 vs Welling). Basingstoke are still fighting for their lives, they only have four points more than 20th Thurrock, but they played a match more and their goal-difference is worse than Thurrock's. They should take something from this match at depleted, unmotivated Maidenhead – I expect a low-scoring draw, or a 1:0 win, hopefully Basingstoke's.
(4.80 for an away win at Expekt and currently at Betfair btw, 4.75 at Paddy Power, 4.60 at Bwin, 4.50 at Bet365, Blue Square, Coral, Skybet, Sportingbet, StanJames... 3.80 for a draw at Betsafe btw, 3.75 also at Paddy Power, StanJames, Victor Chandler...) Read our review of Skeeve's service
